Regional Transport Committee agree to eBus optimisation

The Regional Transport Committee met in late September to look at eBus timing optimisation. A handful of small tweaks have been confirmed as the first changes to the timetable.

After the election, officers and Elected Members will meet again for a deeper discussion about further improvements to the service.

What's changing:

- An earlier service will be introduced for R1 - details to come

- There will be a slight tweak to the timetable for R4 to ensure the bus is running to time

- Late Late bus services will now finish at 2am

- Officers will continue to explore options for The Junction

Next steps - the eBus team will start designing the new timetable around these tweaks, which fine-tune an already well-performing service. We expect the new timetable to be implemented on 1 December 2025.
